Opportunity House Residential Specialist
The role of the Opportunity House Residential Specialist serves as the initial point of access for incoming and prospective shelter residents and introduce them to our shelter programs. This role will require a strong commitment to helping those in need, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals experiencing homelessness.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide personalized support for intakes.
Conducts Face to Face interviews for prospective residents.
Prepares accommodations for new residents upon arrival.
Manages front office and schedules appointments.
Actively monitors available housing navigation and local resources.
Collects private information and maintains confidential records securely
Assists case management in identifying potential advantages or challenges to entry.
Provide supervision to shelter team members.
Collaborate closely with external agencies, schools, and community partners to enhance support networks.

$20-24/hr, DOE

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or equivalency, and 2+ years of Human Services experience
Desired:
Experience with HMIS
